Frontlines MSG

The Frontlines Mission Shaped Group (MSG), launched in January 2016, grasps that our daily frontline is our primary God-given context for mission and so we prayerfully seek to live and speak for Christ where He’s already placed us.

The Tabitha Project

The Tabitha Project reaches out to isolated and vulnerable women in Tooting. Once a month we run a Brunch at church offering food, fellowship and faith. We also meet weekly for bible studies and fellowship within the group on a Tuesday evening in homes, or on a Wednesday morning at church.

International

The International MSG seeks to reach out to those of other cultures and faiths in and around Tooting.

We run a fortnightly Book Table outside Tooting Market. We also focus on praying for the persecuted church around the world and seek to support our mission partners through prayer. We meet for bible studies, prayer, and evangelism training on Tuesday evenings in homes in Tooting from 7.45pm-9.30pm.

Families

We are seeking to reach out to Tooting/local families with the gospel. The Families MSG runs a weekly parents and carers group (Friday Frogs) and a monthly dads and tots group (Dad & Co.), as well as other, one-off activities such as children’s Christmas carol services, and a Holiday Club in the summer.

Mission Shaped Groups

At St Nicholas, we recognise three important relationships in the Christian life:

Up – with the Lord Jesus

In – with our church family
Out – with the community and world around us

We base our church activities and mid-week groups on growing in and developing these relationships.

Prayer Meetings

Once a month, members of St Nicholas Church meet for perhaps our most important meeting – our Church Prayer Meeting (CPM). This is held on the second Tuesday of each month and during this week, our evening Mission Shaped Groups gather centrally to praise God, sing, listen to his word and predominantly pray for our world, our community, missionaries that have ties with, and our church. There is also a Daytime Church Prayer Meeting on the Wednesday after the CPM (please contact the office for details).

Christianity Explored

About four times a year St Nicholas Church runs Christianity Explored courses. There are about six sessions which give people the chance to examine the claims of Christianity for themselves; the course looks at the book of Mark, in the Bible and explores who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means to follow him.

Digging Into God's Grace

Over 60? Why not join us here at St Nicholas Church from 2pm-3.45pm every Wednesday at DIGG (Digging Into God’s Grace) for a great opportunity to learn together, share together and pray together.

Friday Frogs

Friday Frogs is a toddler group that meets at St Nicholas Church on Friday mornings during term time (closed for half term and school holidays). We’re very pleased to welcome mums, dads, grandparents and carers from the local area with their children – from newborns to pre-schoolers. Friday Frogs is open from 9.30am until about 11:10am (it is worth being on time as we usually fill up quickly).
