Hope Explored

Hope Explored

Hope is what keeps us alive.

These days, especially, hope often feels hard to come by.

Yet real hope is what the Christian faith claims to offer: a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about my present.

Come and explore... new dates for this will be here soon, but in the meantime register your interest by completing a simple form:

Online Services

Here you will find our online services/other recorded meetings/talks.

Our next service link is available below, we hope you can join with us. (If there are any problems getting through on this page, please try our YouTube page directly by clicking here.)

Pilgrim's Progress

A series of short devotional readings from John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, with a comment and prayers to encourage the church family on the way, not least through the ongoing slog.

Online Bookstall

We have our own bookstall online, hosted by the Good Book Company.

In our sermons this term (Spring 2021), we're looking at Hebrews, so we've added a few biographies (as many of the faithful men and women in the Old Testament are mentioned in Hebrews, and we can learn a lot from their faith) to the bookstall.

Isolated? Lonely? Need help? Support?

If you’re isolated, and need care & support, or would like to talk to or pray with someone, St Nicholas is your local parish church and we’d love to try and help.

Christianity Explored Course

Christianity Explored

If you know somebody who wants to investigate the Christian faith, why not invite them to Christianity Explored on Zoom. Or it might be you yourself – why not come?

An eight week course with more chance to dig into questions like “Why believe in Jesus – and what does it mean to be a Christian?” Feel free to come once just to see what it’s like.

CAP Money Course

Due to the current social distancing restrictions all courses will be run online for the foreseeable future.

St Nicholas Church has partnered with Christians Against Poverty to offer CAP Money courses in our community. The courses run for 3 weeks, each session lasting 2 hours. The service we offer is completely free.

Questions… this is a series of discussion evenings on Zoom. Specifically meant for people who are not convinced Christians, but who may want answers to some tough questions – or even to challenge Christians over them!
